We’d love to start with an intro! Could you please introduce yourself?

Your Instagram has absolutely blown up over the past couple months, and we love your content! What inspired you to get into content creation?

I was an elementary school teacher for 5 years and when I had my kids, I made the decision to stay home and focus on raising my children. While I absolutely loved being a stay home mom, I always wanted to do something for myself. I wanted to find something that sparked joy and passion. This was around the time I was reinventing my style. I was ready to put energy into myself again and play around with the items that were “in” at the time. I quickly noticed that getting dressed for the day made me feel more confident, empowered and happier. That’s when I found my purpose. I wanted to inspire moms all around the world to get dressed up for the day even if you’re just going to the grocery store with your baby. So I made my fashion account and started sharing practical outfit inspirations and teaching people how to elevate their style.

How do you balance being a parent with being a content creator?

When my daughter was still home with me, I filmed during her nap which was only about an hour. It was a struggle to film in such a short amount of time but it pushed me to be organized and efficient. Now that the kids are at school, I film during the day and edit once they’re in bed. I put my phone away once my kids are home from school so I can spend quality time connecting with them.

How did you get into fashion?

I’ve always been into fashion but I deprioritized myself once I became a mom. I lived in sweats and leggings for many years because I didn’t have time or energy to get “dressed up” like I used to. I got back into fashion when wide leg jeans/trousers came into style last year. I LOVED the way they look on my body and it inspired me to reinvent my style!

What do you like to do for fun?

I love to dance! I used to teach hip hop classes and performed on stage when I went to Queen’s University. Once I became a mom, it was hard to find time for my hobby so I stopped.

I didn’t dance for many years until I realized that I can incorporate dance into my content. I was shocked at how well it was received and it’s one of the factors that has helped me to stand out.I am grateful that I get to share my love of fashion AND dance on Instagram and Tiktok.
